Madeline Hicks: Journal 10

Last week, I finished reading all of my required reading from the book The Phenomenology of Prayer. I will admit that some chapters of this book were boring and others were more interesting. I never would have selected this book to read myself, but I understand why it was needed for this class. This book provided more in-depth information on the topics that we learned about in class. When I had to research papers for this class, The Phenomenology of Prayer was a useful resource. I think that the reason that I did not like this book is that I did not read it fully from start to finish. Maybe if I read it this way I would have enjoyed it more. I would recommend this book to any religious studies student or anyone who wants to learn more about religion and prayer.
