Phenomenology of prayer Chapter 4 prayer as Kenosis

Prayer is not only a petition as a place to go with requests or even praise. This chapter explains a prayer is a place. Prayer creates space for a prophetic experience to appear. Prayer is the self emptied space where God transcends the artificial economy exchange and is interested in the exchange of spirit and intimate connection.

Kenosis provides the space for God to appear. Once one has emptied there self and been mindful, one can indeed be present with the spirit.

This reminds me of meditation.
