 Trail Journals:

I have read many many trail journals for different things in this class and I just never really get tired of them. It is so inspiring to be able to read about so many people's journeys which will probably become one of their greatest life moments. Before this class I would have never even considered for a second going on a long distance hike like the AT or the Camino, but I have now opened my mind to the possibility of maybe completing one, one day. I am just obsessed with the sense of community that everyone seems to achieve on the trail and all the trail names are so cute, its like a nickname for everyone in the community. Also the sense of accomplishment from making a journey like that must be incredible. There is just so many benefits including the fact that it is like free therapy. Real therapy is expensive and I bet nature could do just as well. I'm so glad this class made me more open minded about this subject! It is especially nice to know that everyone has a different reason for walking and it is not all religious. I am not a religious person but now I know that is not necessary to be a certain religion to have your own spiritual journey.
